commissioned by Boston Conservatory, and premiered in Boston in 2002. Very interesting rhythms and sensitive lament, followed by a wild barbaric dance. One of the most famous Grooves composed by Zivkovic!
The Killing BASS DRUM STROKES from the beginning of the second movement are some of the most energetic openers in the percussion literature! Standing ovations are, so to say, coming with the score 🙂 (score and parts)

Commissioned by a consortium of 12 USA universities led by Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford.
Oriental, multi tonal concert piece for solo marimba/percussion and wind ensemble.
Including a nice melodies and apart rhythms. In two sections. First is oriental slow opener followed by a nice ”arabic–like” groove in Marimba and perc. section. Second is dark, mystic music leading into a very attractive solo cadenza and “wild ride” closing section! Ideal for a good University band!

Energetic , passionate and fascinating drumming. Composed in 2009 and premiered by TUOPALI DUO at Canary Islands TENERIFE on November 29th. 2009… two rather small set-ups, both performers using bongos, two toms, piccolo snare drum and kick-drum. Little less than 10 minutes in duration.
